Busker is a music platform that connects independent musicians with music lovers, allowing musicians to receive direct financial support from fans.

Busker typically functions as an online marketplace where artists can tokenize and sell their music as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Artists upload their music files to the platform, along with additional metadata such as album art, track information, and descriptions. The platform uses blockchain technology to tokenize the music, creating a unique NFT for each song.
Fans and collectors discover and explore the available music NFTs. They can listen to previews, read descriptions, and evaluate the artist's offerings before making a purchase decision. Fans interested in owning a music NFT can proceed to buy the desired NFTs using (MATIC). The transaction is recorded on the blockchain, transferring the ownership of the NFT to the buyer.

It is a type of digital asset that represents ownership or proof of authenticity of a unique item or piece of content, such as artwork, music, videos, collectibles, or virtual real estate, among others. Busker allows any musician to apply as an artist. After reviewing, we select musicians based on certain criteria such as talent, artistic quality, uniqueness. We also partner with established independent music labels, agencies, or industry professionals to identify and onboard musicians.

Busker allows a wide range of music genres and formats to be sold as NFTs. This includes individual tracks, albums, remixes, live performances, DJ sets, sound effects, and more. Artists have the flexibility to choose what they want to sell and how they want to package their music content.

As Busker, we use the ERC-721 token standard on the Polygon blockchain. ERC-721 is a widely adopted standard specifically designed for creating non-fungible tokens (NFTs). It allows for the unique representation and ownership of digital assets, including music, art, collectibles, and more.

The record data in Busker is stored on the blockchain. Blockchain technology enables the decentralized and immutable storage of information, ensuring transparency, security, and permanence for the recorded data associated with each NFT.
